ConQuest: India’s premiere national quiz on the Indian Constitution, History and Politics is CLPR’s annual flagship event. It is aims to have students engage with India’s rich constitutional and political history in a fun yet rigorous way.
ConQuest 2016:
In 2016 we organized the first edition of ConQuest. The Quiz was supported by Regional Office of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (FNF) with Walnut Knowledge Solutions as our knowledge partners. ConQuest 2016 was open for undergraduate and postgraduate University students.
ConQuest 2016 was organised in partnership with the following regional partner institutions:
- South Regional Round – School of Law, Christ University, Bangalore
- West Regional Round – Symbiosis Law School, Pune
- East Regional Round – School of Law , KIIT University, Bhubaneswar
- North Regional Round and National Finals – Indian Law Institute, New Delhi at International Society for International Law, Delhi
Around 45 student teams participated in the Preliminary Rounds from colleges in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. We witnessed participation from leading law schools including NLU Delhi, Symbiosis Law School, NOIDA, Campus Law Centre, Army Law Institute Mohali, RGNUL, Patiala; and teams from other prominent institutes like St Stephen’s College, JNU, Department of Buddhist Studies, Hindu College.

Third Place: Kanchan and Saumya; NLU Delhi
Over 50 student teams participated in the Preliminary Rounds from colleges in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Kerala. Teams from leading law schools SCLU, NLSIU, TNNLS and NUALS competed with teams from other prominent Universities like IIT-M, St Josephs College, RVCE, APU and BITS-Hyderabad.

Around 50 student teams participated in the Preliminary Rounds from colleges in Orissa, Kolkata, Assam and other states. Teams from leading law schools NUJS, KIIT Law School, and NLU, Odisha competed with teams from other prominent non law Universities like College of Engineering and Technology, Bhubaneshwar.

45 teams from across Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh participated. Prominent law schools of the region including GNLU, NLIU, MNLU, Symbiosis, ILS and GLC Mumbaialongside other instutions such as TISS Tuljapur, COEP, the Armed Forces Medical College and Savitribai Phule Pune University.

ConQuest 2017:
The 2nd edition of ConQuest was supported by the Regional Office of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (FNF) with Walnut Knowledge Solutions as our knowledge partners. Mr. Arvind Datar was the prize money and trophies sponsor.
The quiz was open to senior high school students (11th – 12th grade/PUC/Junior College) in addition to undergraduate and graduate students from all disciplines.
ConQuest 2017 was organised in partnership with the following regional partner institutions:
- South Regional Round and National Finals – School of Law, Christ University, Bangalore
- West Regional Round – Symbiosis Law School, Pune
- East Regional Round – NUJS, Kolkata
- North Regional Round – NLU, Delhi
We saw participation of 82 teams from Delhi, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Haryana. JNU, Hindu College, IIM Lucknow, NIT Delhi, Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar College, Deshbandhu College,Lady Irwin College, Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies, IP University, Ashoka University, Sri Venkateswara College, Ramjas College, Indraprastha College For Women, Delhi Technological University, Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, Kirori Mal College participated in the quiz.

60 teams from Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Telangana took part in the rounds: NLSIU, NALSAR, SLCU, TN NLS, University Law College, BMS Law College, CMR Law College, KLE Law College, St. Josephs College of Law. PES University, Christ University, Bishop Cottons Women’s Christian College, St. Joseph’s College and high-school teams from NPS HSR, Bishop Cotton’s Boys School, and Vidyaniketan participated as well.

35 teams from colleges in Orissa, Bihar, Guwahati and West Bengal registered for the Preliminary Round. We saw participation from law schools – NUJS -Kolkata, CNLU -Patna, NLU – Odisha, St. Xaviers College, Loreto College, IIT Kharagpur, Presidency University, and Jadavpur University.

56 teams from Pune, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Goa took part in the written preliminary round. BITS Pilani Goa, GLC Mumbai, RTMNU, Wadia College, AGC Pune, IIT Bombay, BMCC, Singhad Institute of Management, COEP Pune, AFMC Pune, Symbiosis Institute of Management, PICT Pune participated in the quiz.
